This project focused on creating a social media graphic to promote Shield of Faith Christian Center of Long Beach’s monthly Youth Sunday service. The goal was to design a clear and engaging visual that encouraged youth and their families to attend.
Key requirements included highlighting the guest speaker, listing the event date and time, and displaying the church’s location. The design also needed to show who was hosting the service to ensure viewers had all the essential information at a glance.
The final graphic balanced bold typography, organized layout, and church branding elements to deliver a promotional piece that was both visually appealing and easy to read across digital platforms.

Process Work
This project is an ongoing monthly assignment in which I update the Youth Sunday graphic with the current speaker and event details. Each version includes new colors that match the season, such as using orange tones for October or lighter palettes for spring.
In the design process, I incorporated elements that reflect both the church and its community. The graphics feature Long Beach landscaping and photos that represent youth life at Shield of Faith, helping the design feel personal and connected to the congregation.
Because the speaker headshots vary in quality, I made minor adjustments to color, cropping, and lighting to ensure consistency across all graphics. Each month, I balanced these elements within a clear layout that highlights the speaker, event date, time, location, and hosting information.
This workflow allows the graphic to stay fresh, seasonal, and aligned with the ongoing needs of the Youth Sunday ministry.
